How do I close my DuPage Credit Union checking or savings account?
The Credit Union will return any funds in your account(s) to you via check at the mailing address DuPage Credit Union has on record. To avoid any potential delays in receiving your check, please make sure your mailing address is accurate by logging into Digital Banking, selecting your profile icon in the top right > Settings > Contact. For security purposes, if your account balance(s) is over $500, your account must be closed in person.
Keep in mind that once your account is closed, you will no longer be able to access it. While your account is still open, you can download your account statements and tax forms by going to Accounts > Credit Card & Member Statements in Digital Banking. After your account is closed, all applicable tax documents will be mailed to you.
If you need any assistance along the way, please contact us. Please note: We are unable to close your membership savings account if you still have an open Loan, Credit Card, Mortgage or Checking Account.
