I was a walk-in to the Roosevelt, Wheaton, location and needed help applying for an auto loan. I already knew that I wanted to go through DuPage Credit Union because my mom, who is also a member, had a good experience with her auto loan several years ago. I was new to the process as every vehicle I had purchased to date had been a cash, private sale. Ms. Latania B was able to assist me immediately and guide me through the process. She was extremely knowledgeable and able to clearly answer all of my questions as a first-time loan applicant. The entire process with Ms. B was extremely smooth (which I greatly appreciated because my experience with various car dealerships was NOT smooth to say the least!), and she was able to get the final loan documents and closing check together very rapidly to accommodate an unreasonably tight deadline thrust upon us by a dealer's delay!

I obviously hope that the car I purchased will work out for me for a very long time, but if I need auto financing in the future, I will certainly be returning to Ms. B for assistance.

Donovan C at DuPage CU was an excellent service associate! We had an issue with another credit union on the day of signing for an auto loan because our loan officer (who knew the car was an older model) added 2 years to the term of the loan, added fess that were not disclosed AND raised our rate by 4%. No way! We told her we were not interested. We were supposed to pick up our car the next day (Saturday), so we were very disappointed. Going into scramble mode on a Friday evening we looked online & found DuPage CU gives loans for older model cars at competitive rates. We took a chance and drove over to the Naperville branch. We arrived at 4:30 PM and met Donovan. He was very polite and responsive to our needs. Donovan got right down to business, looked up the information we had submitted online, and we had a car loan with a rate lower than the other company offered. There were no added fees. Donovan was transparent, answered all of our questions and was very polite. By 5:30 PM our paperwork was completed, the loan was funded and we delivered the check and picked up our car. What a great experience. It was a pleasure working with Donovan. We are so glad we went through DuPage CU for our auto loan.

I purchased a vehicle in another state with a different bank. I fully intended, from the get go, to refinance it through the best financial institution ever, not only because they gave me a better rate, but also because I'd rather they have my interest money than a huge bank that cares nothing about me. DCU has been my banking home for 30 years. I was back in town for a few days and stopped in with no appointment, hoping to do the refinance. I was happy to see Tana D, with whom I had interacted before I moved 6 years ago, was still there and even remembered me! She made the process simple and smooth, even when I didn't come as completely prepared as I thought I was! Within an hour, the refi was done, the payoff was sent to the other bank and I had all my new paperwork in hand. I love that I can just set up my auto payment transfer from checking to my new loan account. I also love that employees that I recall from years ago are still there. Banking with DCU for the last three decades is like my warm, comfy robe. I feel safe and secure with the care, services and options that have been consistent at DCU for all this time. There was never a question that I would remain a customer ever after relocating 900 miles away. And I love the Shared Banking option that allows me to conduct my DCU business at a local credit union if necessary. One thing I would like to see is the addition of Zelle as a direct pay option on the website. Since Zelle has discontinued their stand alone app and now is only accessible through banks and credit unions, it would be a great addition to DCU.
