Here are our tips for making the most of this powerful financial tool.

  1. Link external accounts. Linking external accounts gives you a complete view of your finances. You can link savings, checking, and even investment accounts. From Spend Analysis, simply click Link external account. If you need help, check out our how-to video.
  2. Break down your spending by month. To see a categorized view of your spending per month, simply click on that month’s corresponding bar graph. Below the categories graph, you’ll see all of the transactions made in that month. To see a view of your spending over the past 11 months, deselect the current month by clicking on the bar chart. The bars should now be gray.
  3. Break down your spending by category. To see a view of your spending by category, click on a category. Below the categories graph, you’ll see all of the transactions from that category.
  4. Review your recurring expenses. A list of your monthly recurring expenses are shown below the categories section. This list will show you any expense that happens once a month for roughly the same amount, usually things like utility bills and rent/mortgage payments. To remove an expense from this list, select the expense you want to remove and then select Not a Recurring Expense.
