When the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in 2022, we wanted to help the Ukrainian people in some small way.
As a credit union founded by teachers, we chose to raise funds for the United Nation’s Children’s Fund’s (UNICEF) relief efforts in Ukraine. UNICEF has been working in Ukraine since 1997, and since the beginning of the conflict with Russia, has provided healthcare, immunizations, nutrition, access to safe water and sanitation services, education, protection, and other emergency relief. So far UNICEF has brought help to over 3 million children and adolescents in need in Ukraine, but millions more still need help.
Thanks to generous donations from team members and members, we raised $3,232.80 which DuPage Credit Union matched dollar for dollar to donate a grand total of $6,465.60.
Thank you to all who donated!
