Our Card Fraud and Support Manager, Star, has been with DuPage Credit Union for 45 years as of this month! Star is a real cornerstone of our team, congratulations on 45 years! Here`s a few questions to get know her better:

If you could go back in time to your first day at DCU and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
I was straight out of high school with no real work experience so I was pretty scared and unsure of what I was capable of doing and questioned if I was smart enough. If I could go back in time, I would say…Girl, you are going on an unbelievable journey, so pull yourself together, stay confident, trust, don’t doubt yourself and always believe you CAN DO IT and you will do it!

What has been your proudest accomplishment at DuPage Credit Union?
I’m unbelievably proud of all my 45 years at the credit union. I started as a teller which was a dream job for me at the time. I have been very fortunate to have had several roles since then. Every new role has helped me grow in so many ways and has driven my love, commitment and most importantly my passion for DuPage Credit Union.

If you could have dinner with anyone (alive or dead), who would it be?
I would give anything to have one more dinner with my mom, by my pool in Florida. She was so happy that we were making our Florida dream come true. She could not wait to visit and sit by my pool, talk and dip our toes (her words). Sadly, that opportunity never happened.

What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?
A perfect day for me is being with ALL my boys and their family. We are spread out in different states and it’s very rare that we can all be together. Otherwise, walking the beach with my husband is my happy place and makes for the perfect day!
