Unfortunately, debit and credit card fraud can happen to anyone at anytime. The good news? We've got you covered! Let us know as soon as you suspect your credit or debit card has been lost or stolen, or if there's been fraudulent charges made—we'll be happy to help you close your old card and reissue a new one.

If you've contacted Visa about your credit card but not the Credit Union, they will notify us within one business day. Similarly, if you've contacted the Credit Union but not Visa, we will notify Visa within one business day.

Or report your credit card in Online Banking.

Log into Online Banking and select your Visa credit card.

Go to the Manage tab.

Choose Report Lost or Stolen Card and follow the instructions.

After you’ve reported your card lost or stolen, we recommend contacting all credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) to have them place a “fraud alert” on your credit report. You can order copies of your credit report through annualcreditreport.com to check whether any fraudulent accounts were opened without your knowledge or consent.

Please note that debit cards cannot be reported through Online Banking.  To report debit card fraud, contact usContact us by phone to report debit card fraud by phone.

What comes next?

Upon notifying us, your old card will be immediately closed.

We don’t want you to be without a card. You can visit a branch office to receive a new card or call us at 800-323-2611 and we'll FedEx one to you (a rush card fee may be included). We can also mail one to you within 7-10 business days. In the meantime:

  • Don’t forget to update any recurring payments or automatic debits with your new card number.
  • Your account balances will be automatically transferred to your new card, however upon logging into Online or Mobile Banking, you may see the old card number along with your new card number as the account is being transitioned.
  • Unauthorized transactions will be removed from your account pending the outcome of the investigation.
  • A fraud investigation can take up to 120 days to complete.
  • We'll notify you once the investigation is closed. We may contact you for more information, if needed.

The first thing we recommend is checking in with any other authorized users to see if they recognize them. If you determine the transactions are fraudulent, you can contact us at 800-323-2611 during regular business hours. After business hours, contact 855-341-4650 for credit cards or 800-472-3272 for debit and ATM cards.

While the fraud case is being worked on, there may be a short period of time when you see both cards and the fraudulent transactions listed in Online and Mobile Banking. This will be resolved pending the outcome of the investigation.

A fraud investigation can take up to 60 days to be completed for a debit card and up to 90 days to be completed for a credit card, but we’ll notify you once it’s processed. In the meantime, we may contact you for more information, if needed.

After you’ve reported fraud, we immediately close your card to protect your information and prevent any further unauthorized use. A new card will be sent to you within 7-10 business days. Or you can stop by one of our branch locations and receive one same day.

Once your credit card has been reported lost or stolen and a replacement card is issued, your Choice Rewards Points or cash back will be automatically transferred to your new credit card. This typically takes approximately 24-48 hours and you can redeem your them once your new account number is established.

You will not have to pay a fee for your replacement card.

Processing the request to replace your lost or stolen card online can take 7-10 days; however, if you visit a branch location, you can receive your new credit card same day.
