NAPERVILLE – August 12, 2015 – DuPage Credit Union would like to thank the community and our business sponsors for helping us raise over $16,200 to purchase backpacks and school supplies for over 2,400 DuPage County students in need. The Credit Union donated the remaining dollars needed to purchase 500 backpacks and school kits for local high school students; as well as 1444 elementary school kits.
The backpacks were given out during the DuPage Regional Office of Education’s Annual Back-to-School Fair on August 5th at the Odeum in Villa Park.
“We’re very excited that every student (grades K-12) left the Back-To-School Fair with a backpack stuffed with the supplies they need to start the first day of school,” said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions. “The Credit Union would not have been able to help so many children without the generosity of our Members and those in our community.”
We’ve Got Your Back sponsors and businesses that helped throughout the Credit Union’s four-month fundraising campaign included Citadel Information Management, BUY Bernadette & Yvonne of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Chicago Title, Enterprise Car Sales, Jen Vonesh of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Clique Studios, Kaleidoscope, Suburban Life Media, recreationalzoo.com, Freese & Associates, Inc., totallyUSAmade.com, Daniel & Associates Real Estate, Response Graphics & Embroidery, LLC, VISOgraphic, Inc., Patty Gustin of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Aubrey Sign Company, That Special Touch Events, Namasteˊ Salon & Spa, Zazuˊ Hair Salon & Day Spa, Lynn Herrington of Realty Representatives, Inc., Law Offices of Lora Matthews Fausett, The Turley Realty Group, WSHE-FM and WBBM-AM.
