Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP)
Refinancing Through HARP
The government’s Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) helps homeowners who are current on their mortgage payments yet may be ineligible for traditional refinancing due to decreased home values.
The expanded guidelines allow lenders such as DuPage Credit Union to lend beyond traditional limits if you have not refinanced since May 31, 2009 and the mortgage was underwritten by Fannie Mae.
