June 7, 2016 – NAPERVILLE – Recycle electronics and shred documents during DuPage Credit Union’s Third Annual Drive, Drop & Donate event to benefit DuPage County students in need Friday, June 17th at its Naperville Operation Center, 1515 Bond Street. Also during the event, the Credit Union will be holding a Blood Drive and kids are invited to check out the NCTV17 News truck.
Electronic Recycling and Shredding provided by Citadel:
- Electronic Recycling – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Shred Day – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The cost to shred or recycle is $10 per service, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Credit Union’s We’ve Got Your Back backpack fundraiser to help local students in need.
“This is a great opportunity to help kids right here in DuPage County and get rid of your clutter all at the same time,” said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions. “We’re almost to our goal of raising $10,000, which will be used to buy backpacks and school supplies for DuPage County students in need. And we’re hoping this year’s event will put us over the top.”
Backpacks, stuffed with supplies, will be handed out to students attending the Catholic Charities Annual Back-to-School Fair on August 3rd at the Odeum in Villa Park, which benefits students in DuPage County through the DuPage Regional Office of Education.
Check out the NCTV17 News Truck
Kids are invited to look inside the NCTV17 mobile control room and learn about how a TV production truck operates between 10 a.m. and noon. All children touring the truck will be entered into a free raffle to win one-of-two backpacks and may be filmed for a short NCTV17 video.
